On December 9 2021, the seminar "AI and Future Ethical and Societal Dilemmas" will take place in Copenhagen (AU Emdrup) and via an online connection to Aarhus University.
Speakers:
Virginia Dignum, Professor, Wallenberg chair on Responsible Artificial Intelligence. Scientific Director of WASP-HS (Humanities and Society), Umeå University. Virginia Dignum will discuss the societal impact of AI and how we ensure an ethically aligned purpose when designing AI systems.
Frank Dignum is a Dutch computer scientist. He is currently a Professor of Socially-Aware AI at Umeå University and an Associate Professor at the Department of Information and Computing Sciences of the Utrecht University. Frank Dignum will discuss the social context of AI and how this perspective both involves new requirements and interesting research challenges.
Ida Schrøder. Postdoc, Algorithms, Data & Democracy, DPU, Aarhus University. Ida Schrøder will speak about predictive algorimths in the context of childcare decision-making.
Helene Ratner. Associate professor. Algorithms, Data & Democracy (co-PI, research leader of “Predictive algorithms in public administration”), DPU, Aarhus University. Helene Ratner will speak about the use of predictive algorithms in social work decisions.
